A weak point on the Jeep Wrangler TJ rear frame is the thin crossmember which the rear bumper attaches to. If you mount a heavy bumper and larger spare tire and wheel to this crossmember, it can weaken and crack over time. Our frame tie-ins will connect the bumper directly to the side of the frame for added strength. Made from 1/4" steel with a 3/16" gusset.
Powder coated satin black.
Whats included:
(1) Left side bracket
(1) Right side bracket
(2) Nut plates for inside frame
(4) 7/16" grade 8 bolts, washers, lock washers

Thick metal, clean welds. Great finish. Really strengthened things up on the weakest part of the jeep bumper.

High quality product, great fit.
I ordered these after having tried another brands product that didn’t fit. I specially wanted tie ins made from 1/4” steel, there aren’t many options. The customer service, ordering process, shipment packaging and delivery was all exceptional, and it’s a great product too.

Rear Frame Tie In Brackets

Hi. Are you using 3/16 or 1/4" plate? Also, the bolts in the pic look too short to pass thought the frame (I don't need the bumper bolts). Is that my imagination?

A:
The main brackets are 1/4" steel, with a 3/16" gusset. We include a nut plate (not shown in photo) that slips into the frame for the bolts to thread into. The frame side bolts do not go all the way through the frame, just into the nut plate.
